Shaking

“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.” (Haggai 2:6)

In Haggai 2:6, the Lord Almighty told Haggai that He will shake the heavens and the earth. As I medidate on this Word, God revealed to me something Unexpected. If I based this is my life. God will shake my House in a little while. That is why my House and family right now are being shaken with problems… Our electric bill was cut before and even our internet too. My two sisters are experincing Sickness (physical and Spiritual).

But I have my Faith (v.8) God told us that Silver and Gold it is His. He is a Rich Dad! He will provide all my needs. And if you read v.9… the Bible said “The Glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house”. That is God’s promise for me and I am holding on that!

God is just shaking my world. After that… Tremendous breakthroughs will be upon us!

Lord God… Thank you for all you’ve done and for all you’re going to do. Thank you for shaking me because I believe that after this shaking… comes tremendous blessings!

POWER! not fear…

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. (2 Tim 1:7)

The Only fear that God encourages in a Christian Life is the fear of God (Heb 10:31). The Fear of people does not come from God. But sometimes, I tend to feel fear inside of me. Even though it is for God… It is for God… the devil will still attack me and tell me “They have high expectations to you”

That’s the reason why I don’t want to go into the pulpit and pray. I don’t even want to worship God and lead the congregation in worship! I am scared to do those things… Becoming a Leader? Becoming a Worship Song Leader? Never expected that! @.@ Most especially in the “MINISTRY”… where you serve GOD @.@!

But reading the Life of Timothy… A very timid Guy that God appointed to become a student of Paul… There was no difference between me and him… if he can do it.. surely I can do it too right???

Fear is no excuse to disobey God. There is no rason to live in fear when you have the Mighty presence of the Holy Spirit within you. Within us… FEAR WILL JUST ENSLAVE US! But Jesus Christ came to set us free from any fear. He will enable us to continue in Obedience…

Lord… Help me to overcome this fear inside of me and I do claim the spirit of Power in Jesus name!

We are the Clay

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. (Jer 18:6)

A Potter… is the One that Molds the Clay and then the Clay becomes a Pot or any thing that the potter molds. Without the potter, the clay will always be a clay… Clay is Useless…. dirty…. and we are the Clay… US… human beings. God is the Potter. Without God, we can’t do Nothing (John 15:5)

God gave us talents, gifts and abilities. But He also gave us Knowledge and Wisdom. We may use these without God (some people thinks they can use them without God’s help). But once you surrendered these things to the real Potter… Once you use these Talents, Gifts, Abilities, Knowledge and Wisdom for God’s Kingdom… We can use them to the fullness.

God continues to Look for those Christians who will allow Him to Mold them. Clay has no place of it’s own, no aspiration for service, nor reluctance to performce it’s given task. Christians can’t be used in advancing God’s Kingdom without God molding them in their talents, skills etc…

I tried to depend on myself before… But I just failed, When I started surrending God everything? He used all my talents to it’s fullness.

Jesus… Continue to Mold me.. Use me… Fill me… I give my Life to the Potter’s hands.

Trembling in God’s Words

Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
       declares the LORD.
“This is the one I esteem:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit,
and trembles at my word. (Isa 66:2)

In the past, I thought God doesn’t speak to anyone anymore. God only speaks to His chosen people like Abraham, Moses etc. (and after that… my family also convince me that the pope and other priests can speak to God as well). Anyway, ordinary people cannot do that. Or that’s what I thought…

When I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior; He spoke to me and prove to me that He can speak to anyone if He wants too. (He is a God and we can’t limit Him neh?) He speaks with His Children. (John 10:3)

He speaks in many ways. Some common ways are:

1. He speaks Audibly
2. He speaks through our hearts
3. He speaks through Scriptures (Bible)
4. He speaks through our Brothers and Sisters

In my Personal Experience, When He speaks within us it has more impact to me. I remember the time… I almost lost my faith and then I heard Him saying how He misses me. I cried so much that time (Even my earthly dad didn’t say ‘I miss you’ before but now he does :D )

Another thing He speaks to me is through the Bible. But let’s face it. Sometimes… Reading the Bible is becoming a Ritual. When we read Isa 66:2… God wants us to TREMBLE at His words. Which means He wants us to be physically affected by the reality that He speaks to us. We should always ANTICIPATE something GREATER will happen to us when we read the Bible. The Bible said ‘The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom’ (Pro 9:10)

Our God can do ANYTHING… and I mean ANYTHING! If Jesus can raise the dead, calm a storm, cast out demons and heal sick people.. surely He can speak to us.

The Next time we read the Bible? Be sensitive to the Voice of God. Let’s do it with sense of Holy Expectation.

Father God… Give me a Spirit that is sensitive to your Voice… In Jesus Mighty name… Amen.

Now is the Time

The Year of the LORD’s Favor

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, (Isa 61:1-2)

The First time I attended JIL Church, I wanted to be involved in all the Ministries. I want to be a part of VIA (Voice in Adoration) because I love singing. I want to be involve in Children Ministry because I love Children. But that time wasn’t the time for me to be involve in the Ministry… why? I guess because God is still preparing me for that. I even thought that I will never be a part of the Ministry, because I could not commit before. Although I prayed to God for a Ministry… still He told me to wait… so.. I wait.. and wait and wait… until I got tired of waiting. God kept telling me to “Wait” for His timing. But I did not listen. So I focus on my online Ministry… until Pastor Arnel tapped us in CORE Leadership. I got soo excited and I was so happy!

But as I was given more and more responsibility… I got scared especially when I was asked to lead Prayers. (It was my weakness.) So this was the training is all about. Then I became not only a Core Leader… I was promoted to be in the Inner Circle of the Leadership (SPT). I got scared of what’s coming unto me… I wanted to back out… but Pastor Arnel said, “Chette… Now is the time”. Pastor Arnel confirm this when He annointed me with Oil. “This is your time Sis.Chette”

I thought… I can’t handle it, but by God’s grace and because of the training. I found out that I am ready to face the Battles.

God’s timing is really “Perfect” He knows me and is fully aware of my circumstances. If He gave it to me? Surely He will be with me, He will provide the sources, His grace is sufficient for any assignment and He will not give it to me if I can’t handle it.

Lord… Just help me to full fill what you want me in these Ministries…

God will never Leave me nor forsake me

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)”Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b)

How many times God told me that He will never leave me nor forsake me? Eversince I became a Christian, He really didn’t leave me nor forsake me. His Words are true and I am assured. He did not leave me nor forsake me when I was persecuted by my family. When my friends rejected me for having a “Weird Testimony“… God did not leave me. He was there for me all the time… (and still is) Just like what He said to Joshua (Joshua 1:9) and to the writer of Hebrews (Heb 13:5b).

As I also medidate Peter conversation with Jesus in Mk 14:28… Jesus said that He will go to Galilee after He is risen from the dead. Jesus predicted His death and the Apostles “Backsliding”. Peter however reasurred to Jesus that He will not leave Him (v. 29). But in the end.. He did (v.66-72)

As a Human, sometimes we assure others and even God that we will always serve Him, depend on Him, trust on Him.. etc.. But when the time comes… We fall away.

Aren’t you happy that God doesn’t even leave us when we fall? That He doesn’t leave us when we commit mistakes? That He is faithful even we are not?

Aren’t you?

Lord… Help me to become like you… Once I start to feel backsliding… Make me remember that you will never leave me nor forsake me….
